at last i have learned a very good insight from my boss…

regionalism, we can’t change it but we can do something to counter it ….

so what is regionalism?  for me, it is the loyalty to the interest of a particular region.  A feature, (as a pronunciation or expression or custom) that is a characteristic of a particular region. They have their own language, tradition, religion, beliefs and distinct attitude or characters.  The fact that this is very evident in the training we had, handling trainees from different regions seems a pain in the ass.  Injecting the spirit of Team Work seems futile. As a result, small factions(groups) were born.  Individualism soon flourished.  Self-centeredness and being pessimistic were observed from them. 

What i forgot to understand was to accept the fact and reality about regionalism.  It’s like fighting  thousands/millions of  Persian Armies with only a 300 men on my side.  (ehehehe) I forgot that it has a stong influnce on people, on us like a virus that crawls into our innocent minds.  Thus i had to acknoledge their existence.   Definitely i can’t beat it or even change it. What i can do now is to strategize a plan that would somehow open their minds and hearts even a little and break the spell of regionalism out of them.
