excellence is founded upon a person’s quality of motivation at work.  there are two types of work motivation.  the first thing is working for self.  primarily, this is concerned with ‘what will i get out of this?’  usually, the dominant objective is to earn money.  this motive is quite a mover.  a person can go to great lenghts to get a job done, if doing so will redound to his own personal gain.  it may not be the best kind of motivation because when done to an extreme, the motive may lead to unethical practices and a crab mentality.  the second is working for others.  this person is people-pleaser.  he likes to look impressive, become popular, and make others happy.  this is not exactly a bad motive.  someone with this kind of motive may also go to great lengths to please his boss.  the problem here is that because the person is working only to please people, his services are rather unpredictable.  sometimes or most of the time he is labeled as bootlicker(sipsip).  so which one of the two motivates you to work?
