it really feels good to be with your family… all were in good health and happy…
it has been 10 days since my last post…. got stuck with my work and things that need my attention… on work and on my personal life…
first was preparing my documents for my application in the AOTS SWIT Training in Japan. 90% were ok except for my medical certificate which took me a week to process, and luckily i was able to submit all of it on time… screening was done in Japan and after 3 days i received a call from the staff of AOTS Japan.. congratulating me, for my application was approved…yehey!!! last December 12 i received all the documents i need for my Visa application… since there was a change in the Japanese Embassy Processing schedule.. I was not able to process it last December 14
guess i had to file it on December 17(Monday). hope it will be ok and had it on Wednesday or Thursday before i went home to Davao.
second, i was able to claimed my new Starbuck’s Planner.. it has a totally new design and cool pages. it was quite better than the last year’s planner….
third, been busy with the preparation of the Phase 2 of the 2007 Technical Paper Contest and we were able to conduct it successfully, though we still need to improve the quality of each nominated papers.
fourth, i had a christmas party with my trainees… i was not able to buy a gift because of time constraint so i just gave her(my trainee) a gift certificate.
it was fun because we had lots of foon on the table…
fifth was the revelation day for our Christmas Belsnickle… i bought a big Microbeads Pillow for my baby as what she has requested.
sixth was our company’s christmas party.. it was a nice and an ejoyable party.. the committee did quite good this time… the place was cool and romantic.. the presentations were all unique and interesting… lots of beautiful costumes… people were laughing during the whole duration of the presentations.. and what makes it better was the raffle draw.. expensive and nice gifts were given.. i got a rice cooker.. which was a very good timing since i’m planning to buy one…
seventh, im a bit excited going home… i really feel tired now and eager to have my vacation… i can’t wait to eat sinigang, crabs, nilagang baboy, kinilaw and sardines with egg…

one of our engineers sent me a link of an article which i find very interesting and was somehow true in the company where i am now. According to the article, 80% of the those who decides to quit from their job was because of their boss. They blamed their boss for their decision to quit. Only 16% quit for reasons unrelated to their boss. According to the article:
- 35% said they need expectations to be stated more clearly than is generally the case with their boss. This is somewhat true in one of the departments we had in our company. I believe that most people want to perform well be as effective as possible, but most supervisors or managers don’t take the time to get to know their team members’ individual styles. They don’t find time to be with their members. They don’t like to mingle with their members, they are so anti-social. You will find them most the time on their table facing their laptops.
- 32% claimed the boss didn’t treat peopla fairly. This is so evident during promotions. Others would hate and say that their boss was unfair. Allowing those whom they think are not worth of promotion get promoted. Others would promise their people that they will be promoted, so the poor guy would be so happy and expect a promotion. But unfortunately, he’s expecting for nothing. This is a clear example of a big lie, of being unprofessional and unethical. I don’t know how could they sleep at night without thinking about what they done. So in the end, the poor guy will then submit his resignation letter.
-28% reported that the boss ruled by intimidation. Well this is somehow true, trying to abuse a little of their power and authority. hehehehhe my boss does it everytime….. wakekeke ooopss…
- 27% said their boss should learn to admit when a mistake is made and not blame others. Well i don’t know about it. Most of the bosses only thinks of the things that could benefit them. If things get wrong, they will then try to find someone whom they can pass the blame. Finger pointing is their talent.
- 22% noted that supervisors should become more accessible. Emails don’t replace face-to-face time. I think most of the bosses ass where stuck on their chairs, that’s why they find it hard to stand and tend to their members.
- 16% said the boss needs to listen to employees more. They are always deaf, they can’t hear anything and they don’t want to listen. They don’t care about their employees.
"from where i was raise, they gave us no name. we were given number… mine is 47." - Hitman
what’s in a name? we name something or anything for us to remember it easily? we create nickname for our friends whose name were so many and so long? that sometimes the nickname we gave were too far or has no relation at all from its real name… we name people, animals and things… we even named our stuffed toys… or the other way around is we gave them code… a number… a one digit to as many digits we assigned to it… the Espada from Bleach were numbered and named too…
there only one thing i knew about naming, it was to give us an identity of our own….
