sometimes you are so engrossed with your daily life activities especially work that you become workaholic. you need rest. you should rest. nature has a rest from time to time. the soil needs a rest, bears and snakes hibernate; even fish sleep with their eyes open. now we can learn from this approach. we need to take time out; to relax, to pamper ourselves, to rest, to review, to ponder, to be. If you decide that you are indispensable and that you must always have your nose to the grindstone, then you can live your life like that. you will be that way for the rest of eternity. your belief that you can never rest will be your reality until such time as you decide differently. maybe that time will come when you rest forever. when we do make rest a part of our lifestyle, like the soil we become so much more productive when we work. indeed humans are created for enterprise and activity.

I’m getting less and less of sleep as i grow older. I was like, ‘what the heck?!’… but ‘rest’ is no longer an alibi to escape the busy world. We don’t have a choice, we chose to take part. So better enjoy the 4 hours, at most, of rest that our miserable working lives has to offer. hehe
